Malaysia finished second at the 2015 SEABA Championship. They rolled past Laos for the fourth win at the tournament. Malaysia qualified for the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship with the win. Sing Tee Ng (181-G-89) came up with 14 points to pace the winners.
Malaysia used a 27:6 run in the opening frame to clear off. They dropped 21 points in the second term to pile up a 48:22 halftime lead. Malaysia maintained the lead throughout the third frame. They entered the fourth stanza up by 29 points and coasted to the victory. Tian Yuan Kuek (200-C-91) and Way Tek Koh (194-F/C-83) netted 11 points each for Malaysia. Phouthong Labouaphieng (180-F-96) responded with 13 points and 12 rebounds for Laos. Siphandone Lothalath tossed in 9 points in the loss.
