Malaysia overcome Laos at U16 SEABA Championship - Aug 14, 2011

Malaysia U16 - Laos U16 83:56

Malaysia wrapped up their U16 SEABA Championship campaign with victory. They held off Laos to clinch the second position in the ladder. Jian Chua (183-G-95) stepped up with 22 points to lead the effort. Laos suffered the fourth straight loss at the tournament. The second-place finish means Malaysia will play at U16 Fiba Asia Championship in Vietnam in October.
Malaysia quickly took off posting a 24:11 lead after ten minutes. The hosts boosted the margin to as many as 23 points at halftime 42:19. Malaysia stayed in control throughout the third term. They registered a 64:42 lead at the final intermission. Malaysia did not loosen the grasp in the fourth frame to race to the victory. Gashvinder Sarjit-Singh (195-C-95) netted 13 points, while Jia Tong (189-F-95) chipped in 9 points for the winners. Khamphay Inthavixay (168-PG-96) and Aphakone Phommasone (175-G-96) responde with 14 points each for Laos.

Cambodia Fall to Laos as Vietnam Blow out Brunei - 6 months ago
The Fiba Organized U20 Friendship Game got under way today at the Indoor Hall of the National Stadium as Cambodia failed to rise above their Counterparts From Laos losing 62-73 in the opening game. The Match which was witnessd by a large crowd mostly Students from High School tipped off after a Grand Opening Ceremony with all Participating teams match past the VIP stand. Singapore basketballers thump Laos 103-51 - 2 Years ago
The Singapore men's basketball team thrashed Laos 103-51 to win their second SEA Games Group B match at Stadium MABA in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. As the scoreline suggested, it was one-way traffic for the Singaporeans right from the tip-off. By the end of the first quarter, Wei Long Wong(187-G-88) and Co. had built up a 13-point lead, and the advantage widened to 20 points at half-time.
