Singapore U16 - Laos U16 108:70

Singapore celebrated the first win at U16 SEABA Championship. They overcame debutants from Laos to improve at 1-1 record. Laos fell at 0-1 record after the loss. Chiang Kok stepped up with 28 points and 13 rebounds to pace the winners.
Singapore entered the game aggressively. They fired 32 points in the starting period to pile up a 15-point lead. Laos opened the second term on an 8:3 run to narrow the deficit. But Singapore quickly boosted the gap posting a 51:31 halftime advantage. Singapore kept their opponents at bay throughout the third term. They established a 78:51 lead with one quarter remaining. They did not slow down in the fourth period rolling to the victory at the end. Yuan Xing contributed 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Toh Qing netted 17 points in the victory. Phoutthasak Thavonphaneuk responded with 33 points for Laos. Aphakone Phommasone nailed 8 points in defeat.
