Thai U18 team posted the third straight win at the Asia Championship. They crushed Laos to improve at 3-0 record on top of Level II ladder. Laos slipped at 0-3. Aungkana Buapa (169-G/F-93) nailed 19 points to lead the hosts.
Thailand did not waste much time to surge ahead. The hosts built a 19:7 lead midway through the quarter. Thailand triggered a 12:2 run to cap the quarter and earned a 22-point lead. The hosts maintained the pressure in the second quarter. They enlarged the margin to as many as 35 points at halftime. Thailand fired 37 points in the third term to clear off to a massive 46-point advantage with ten minutes remaining. The home team cheered up by the fans did not slow down in the final quarter. They coasted to the comprehensive victory at the end.
Pornnutcha Sawatong (164-G-93) notched 18 points for the winners. Kornkanok Kotcharat (175-G-92) contributed 14 points and 8 rebounds for the Thai team. Manivanh Oulavong (165-F/C-93) netted 10 points for Laos. Kinnasorn Nanthalath (155-G-93) had 9 points in defeat.
