Higher League Round 6: Derby game ends with Dinamo's defeat of Legion

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Bishkek: Dinamo (#2) and Legion (#3). Dinamo (4-1) won against visiting Legion (2-3) 84-74. Dinamo dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Legion's 26. They outrebounded Legion 59-38 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for the former international Evgeny Pekhov who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. Aman Abdykerim (202-94) contributed with 20 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Guard Baish Adiev (192-90) replied with 28 points and 7 rebounds for Legion. Dinamo have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Dinamo maintains second position with 4-1 record behind leader Alga-KTU. Legion at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost.
An interesting game for Alga-KTU (5-0) which hosted in Manas 4th ranked Politekhnik (1-4). Top-ranked Alga-KTU had an easy win 75-49. Guard Zhanysh Adiev (190-90) scored 18 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Oleg Morozov chipped in 18 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was Adylbek Naimanbaev (-1) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Alga-KTU have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. Politekhnik at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost.
