Higher League Round 3: Derby game ends with Dinamo's defeat of Politekhnik

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Bishkek: Dinamo (#2) and Politekhnik (#5). Dinamo (2-1) won against visiting Politekhnik (0-2) 67-53. It was a good game for swingman Kirill Beloglazov (191-84) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. The former international Evgeny Pekhov contributed with 8 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Center Nikolay Bobrov (190-0) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 22 rebounds for Politekhnik. Politekhnik's coach rotated twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dinamo's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Bishkek Gines-29.
Alga-KTU (3-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed SHUM (0-2) in Bishkek 101-41. It was a great evening for guard Zhanysh Adiev (190-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Nurtay Subanbekov helped adding 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Alga-KTU's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was forward Belek Bektenov (-95) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Alga-KTU will play against Legion (#3) in Bishkek in the next round, which may be the game of the day. SHUM's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Bishkek to the arena Politekhnik.

Dinamo - Politekhnik 67-53

Alga-KTU (3-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed SHUM (0-2) in Bishkek 101-41. Alga-KTU held SHUM to an opponent 20.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 48.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Alga-KTU forced 22 SHUM turnovers and outrebounded them 59-36 including a 46-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by SHUM's players. It was a great evening for guard Zhanysh Adiev (190-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds.
