Kyrgyzstani Higher League round 1 best performance: Evgeny Pekhov

Former international Evgeny Pekhov had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Dinamo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The player had a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Legion (#5, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 88-75. Thanks to this victory Dinamo moved-up to the 2nd position in Kyrgyzstani Higher League. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Dinamo won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Pekhov had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Dinamo's top player in his first season with the team. Evgeny Pekhov has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 21.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 13.0rpg), assists (6th best: 4.0apg) and averages impressive 3.0bpg and 70.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 20-year old Nurbek Aydanbek (196-F-01) of league's leader Alga-KTU. Aydanbek had a very good evening with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Alga-KTU to another comfortable win outscoring Politekhnik (0-1) 75-52. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Aydanbek is well-known at Alga-KTU and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.0ppg (#1). He also registered 7.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Russian guard Emil Kasymaliev (190-G-89) of Legion (#5). Kasymaliev showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the last round. Despite Kasymaliev's great performance Legion lost 75-88 to Dinamo (#2, 1-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The season just started for Kasymaliev as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader. Emil Kasymaliev has also Kyrgyzstani passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
