Best players of Kyrgyzstani Higher League round 7

Aman Abdykerim

Belek Bektenov (F-95) put on an amazing game in the last round for SHUM and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 25-year old forward had a double-double of 40 points and eleven rebounds, while his team crushed Politekhnik (#6, 1-5) with 24-point margin 83-59. SHUM is placed at 5th position in Kyrgyzstani Higher League. SHUM is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. In the team's last game Bektenov had a remarkable 59.1% from 2-point range. It's his second year at SHUM and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Bektenov has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.8ppg) and averages solid 2.3spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 26-year old power forward Aman Abdykerim (202-PF-94) of Gines-29 Jr.. Abdykerim impressed basketball fans with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Gines-29 Jr. to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Grizzly (#7, 1-5) 104-69. Gines-29 Jr.'s 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 3-3 record is not bad at all. Abdykerim is a newcomer at Gines-29 Jr. and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Roman Gostishev (197-C/F-97) of Politekhnik (#6). Gostishev scored 20 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). Despite Gostishev's great performance Politekhnik lost 59-83 to slightly higher-ranked SHUM (#5, 2-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Politekhnik can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Gostishev has individually a great season in Kyrgyzstan. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.2ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 13.7rpg (2nd best). He also has 1.8bpg and FGP: 53.7%.
