Grizzly - SHUM 73-64 Grizzly has finally registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat SHUM (1-4) 73-64 on Sunday. Grizzly forced 19 SHUM turnovers. The best player for the winners was Elkhan Malaev (-92) who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. Askat Bayanov (-87) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was center Rustam Dzhangirov (-96) who recorded 22 points and 9 rebounds and forward Belek Bektenov (-95) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Grizzly left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with Politekhnik and SHUM. Legion was defeated at home 50-58 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Alga outrebounded Legion 50-38 including 38 on the defensive glass. Guard Nurtay Subanbekov (185-92) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Zhanysh Adiev (190-90) chipped in 16 points and 5 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Stas Lukonin (206-88) with 25 points and 9 rebounds and guard Baish Adiev (192-90) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Alga (5-0) have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted Alga maintains first position with a perfect record of 5 victories in a row, which they share with Gines-29. Legion at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. Politekhnik was smashed at home by 25 points 49-74 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Forward Nazim Oruchkulov (200-4) notched a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Temirlan Kapakov (199-4) supported him with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Gines-29's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds by power forward Roman Gostishev (197-97) did not help to save the game for Politekhnik. Omurbek Atabekov (194-98) added 13 points and 9 rebounds. Gines-29 (5-0) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Alga. Politekhnik at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Grizzly and SHUM.
