Best players of Kyrgyzstani Higher League round 4

Zhanysh Adiev

Experienced Former international Forward Ruslan Mazitov (190-F-88) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Alga and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 32-year old forward had a double-double of 18 points and seventeen rebounds, while his team beat Gines-29 Jr. (#4, 2-3) 73-59. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Alga to consolidate first place in the Kyrgyzstani Higher League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Alga already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Mazitov had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Mazitov has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 11.2rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Alga's star - 30-year old guard Zhanysh Adiev (190-G-90). Adiev impressed basketball fans with 31 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course together with Mazitov he helped Alga with another comfortable win 73-59 over the lower-ranked Gines-29 Jr. (#4, 2-3) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Alga consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 5 games without any defeat. Adiev is a newcomer at Alga and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.2ppg (#1). He also recorded 3.2 assists per game.

The third best performed player last round was Roman Gostishev (197-C/F-97) of Politekhnik (#5). Gostishev scored 19 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Politekhnik, leading his team to a 81-56 easy win against Grizzly (1-4). Politekhnik can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Gostishev has individually a great season in Kyrgyzstan. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 14.0rpg (2nd best).
