Guard Zhanysh Adiev (190-G-90) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Moy Telefon, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 29-year old player was the main contributor (41 points, five rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Politekhnik (#5, 4-3) 92-81. Moy Telefon is placed at 2nd position in Kyrgyzstani Liga Forward. They are still close to the very top. Moy Telefon would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. In the team's last game Adiev had a remarkable 81.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Moy Telefon, through which he has constantly improved. Zhanysh Adiev has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 32.5ppg. Adiev is in league's top in assists (9th best: 3.2apg) and averages impressive 3.2spg and 71.0% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old Alexander Planin (190-F-94) of SHUM. Planin had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he led SHUM to another comfortable win 77-62 over Grizzly (#8, 0-6) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed SHUM to leave bottom place moving a little bit up to 6th position in the standings. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory SHUM managed to get this year. Planin is a newcomer at SHUM and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.
Third on the list of top players last round was former international guard Shakirzhan Kuranbaev (170-G-84) of league's top team Guiness-29. Kuranbaev scored 26 points and passed six assists. He was a key player of Guiness-29, leading his team to a 67-58 win against #4 ranked Guiness-29 Jr. in a game of the week. Guiness-29 confirms their top position in the standings. Kuranbaev has a great season in Kyrgyzstan. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 30.6ppg (2nd best) and assists with 9.9apg (best passer).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
