Tulpar-SKIF defends League title - May 26, 2016


Tulpar-SKIF overcame Politekhnik 60-59 to defend their league title. Trailing 9-17 at the end of the first period, Tulpar-SKIF replied with a 23-8 surge in the second frame and led also 7 points after 30 minutes of the game. Politekhnik managed to reduce the gap and won the last stanza 16-10, however it was not enough to seal the victory. In the game for the third place Guiness-29 beat Moy Telefon 74:54. Shakirzhan Kuranbaev (G) became the top-scorer of the League with a total of 332 points. Last year Tulpar-Skif celebrated the League title as they outgunned Kyrgyz Technical University 77:56 in the decider.
