Sassari signs Briante Weber, ex Kuwait

Briante Weber

Dinamo BDS Sassari (Serie A) signed 32-year old American point guard Briante Weber (188cm-75kg-1992, college: VCU). He started the season at Kuwait in Kuwaiti D1 league. In 6 games he had very impressive stats: 17.0ppg, 7.8rpg, 4.3apg and 2.7spg. The last season season he played at Unahotels Reggio Emilia.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Weber is quite experienced player. He has played in ten different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Weber has played previously professionally in Canada (Honey Badgers), France (Metropolitans and Gravelines Dunkerque), Greece (Olympiacos), Israel (Bnei Hertzeliya), Puerto Rico (Indios), Turkey (Buyukcekmece), NBA (GS Warriors, Houston Rockets, LA Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies and Charlotte Hornets), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce and RGV Vipers) and The Basketball Tournament (Ram Nation). His team won Kuwait Supercup in 2025.
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-French ProA Honorable Mention back in 2021.
He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2015 and it is his tenth season as a professional player.
