Panteras de Miranda (SPB) added to their roster 30-year old American power forward Elijah Minnie (203cm-96kg-1994, college: EMU, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) for new 2025 season. It is actually his comeback to Caracas as he has played here before. Minnie just played at Al Sulaibikhat in Kuwaiti D1 league. He ended the last season at Halcones Rojos in Mexican LNBP where in four games he recorded 8.8ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.3spg. But the most of that year he spent at Airs. In 22 New Zealand games he averaged 15.0ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.1spg and 1.5bpg. Minnie helped them to make it to the semifinals.
He is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit five different continents, while he played in six different countries. Minnie tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Iraq (Al Hilla and Al-Quwa), Switzerland (Lugano), United Kingdom (Gladiators), Uruguay (Goes), New Zealand (Jets) and TBL (Syracuse S.).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Minnie's team won TBL East Division Regular Season in 2021. Minnie was voted to All-MAC Honorable Mention back in 2019.
He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
Minnie graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2019 and it is his sixth season as a professional player. He played also for Robert Morris University for 2 years.
