Shane Rector (ex Kazma) agreed terms with Amman United

Shane Rector

Amman United (Premier League) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old American 188cm guard Shane Rector (college: Utah State). He played most recently at Kazma in Kuwaiti D1 league. In 5 West Asia Super League games he recorded very impressive stats: 19.4ppg, 4.2rpg, 3.0apg and 1.0spg in 2022-23 year. He also played for Al Alhy Benghazi (D1) in Libyan league.
Rector is a very experienced player. Thanks to Rector's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Asia, Africa and of course North America) in six different countries. He has played previously professionally in Qatar (Al Gharafa), Saudi Arabia (Ohod), Tunisia (US Monastir), United Arab Emirates (Al Wasl, Al Sharjah and Al Bataeh) and TBL (Albany Patroons).
Among many awards his team made it to the Kuwait League Semifinals in 2022. Rector was also voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Import Player of the Year back in 2018.
He graduated from Utah State in 2017 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball. Rector played for other colleges like: Miami Dade College, University of Missouri.
