Ittihad Al-Marj (D1) signed 33-year old American guard Isaiah Sykes (201cm-84kg-1991, college: UCF) for upcoming 2023-24 season. Sykes just graduated from University of Central Florida (JUCO).
He started his college career at University of Central Florida (NCAA) where he played four seasons. Then he moved to Cloud County Community College (JUCO).
Sykes is quite experienced player. He has played in eight different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Sykes has played previously for Hanau, Maccabi Hod Hasharon, Al Shurtah, Recanati, Leones, Sulaibikhat, Moutahed and Al Kahraba. He was also voted to Asia-Basket.com Iraqi League All-Imports Team back in 2018 and 2019.
Sykes played in the final of Iraqi League in 2021.
As mentioned above he is just out of the college and it is his tenth season as a professional player.
