Al Ittihad Jeddah (SBL) added to their roster experienced 34-year old American power forward Latavious Williams (203cm-102kg-1989) for new 2023-24 season. Williams played last season at Kazma in Kuwaiti D1 league. In 9 West Asia Super League games he was league's fifth best scorer with 14.8ppg and had 9.1rpg (leader !!!) and 1.6spg.
In 2009 he was drafted by Tulsa 66ers (D-League) in first round (16th overall).
He is quite experienced player. Williams' career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in nine different countries. Williams tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Bosnia (Igokea), Germany (Brose Bamberg), Israel (Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Holon), Puerto Rico (Vaqueros), Russia (UNICS Kazan), Spain (Joventut, Valencia and Zaragoza), Venezuela (Bucaneros), South Korea (KCC Egis and Anyang) and Dominican Republic (Metros).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the Arab Club Championship Semifinals in 2022. Williams was voted to Asia-Basket.com Korean KBL All-Imports Team in 2021.
