Willie Warren

Al Qurrain (D1) agreed terms with 33-year old American point guard Willie Warren (193cm-92kg-1989, college: Oklahoma, agency: Interperformances) for upcoming 2023-24 season. Warren played last season at Dijlah in Iraqi Superleague.
The most of previous (2022) summer he spent at Piratas in Venezuelan SPB where in 17 games he had 11.0ppg, 2.8rpg, 5.1apg and 1.0spg in 2022 year. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week. He also played for Piratas (LNB) in Venezuelan league. Good season as he was also here named League Player of the Week.
In 2010 he was drafted by Los Angeles Clippers (NBA) in second round (54th overall). The former University of Oklahoma star is in his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Warren is quite experienced player. He has played in twelve different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Warren has played previously professionally in China (Golden Bulls and Loongs), Hungary (Szolnok), Iran (Petrochimi), Israel (Maccabi Effie Capital Rishon Le-Zion), Italy, Lebanon (Al Riyadi and Hoops), Mexico (Mineros), Qatar (Al Shamal), Saudi Arabia (Al Wehda), Taiwan (Pilots), NBA (LA Clippers) and NBA G League (Texas Legends, NAZ Suns and RGV Vipers).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the Taiwanese PLeague+ Semifinals in 2021. He was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 2nd Team in 2022.
