Al-Qurrain (D1) added to their roster experienced 35-year old Serbian-Montenegrin forward Nikola Dragovic (206cm-105kg-1987, college: UCLA) for season 2022-23. Dragovic played most recently at Nazm Avaran Sirjan in Iranian Division I. In 24 Superleague games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.4ppg, 8.9rpg, 2.7apg and 1.2spg last season. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com Iranian Superleague All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week.
Dragovic ended the previous (2020-21) season at Kolossos in Greek GBL where in three games he averaged 7.7ppg and 3.7rpg in that year. But the most of that year he spent at OKK Beograd in Serbian KLS. In 11 games he had also remarkable stats: 20.2ppg, 6.5rpg, 3.6apg and 1.1spg in that year.
He was a member of Serbian U20 National Team back in 2007.
Dragovic is quite experienced player. Thanks to Dragovic's pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in ten different countries. He has played previously professionally also in Bosnia (Igokea), Bulgaria (Akademik Sofia), France (ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket), Germany (Brose Bamberg and MBC), Italy (Vanoli Cremona), Mexico (Mineros), Russia (Spartak), Saudi Arabia (Al Wehda) and Spain (Manresa and Zaragoza). His team won Pac-2010 Regular Season in 2007 and 2008.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was selected Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian League Bosman Player of the Year back in 2015.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Qurrain.
Dragovic graduated from University of California at Los Angeles in 2010 and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season as a professional player.
