Rickey Young

Kazma (D1) signed 32-year old American power forward Rickey Young (205cm-100kg-1990, college: WVU Tech) for upcoming 2022-23 season. Young already started the season at Al Bataeh (ULB) in UAE league. He also played for Air Defence Sporting Club (Superleague) in Iraqi league and left shortly.

Young is quite experienced player. He has played in twelve different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). Young has played previously professionally also in Bahrain (Al-Riffa), Finland (HoNsU Basket), Germany (46ers), Kosovo (Bashkimi), Montenegro, Qatar (Al Khor), Saudi Arabia (Al Hilal and Al Nassr), Bolivia (LS Olympic, La Salle and Calero), United Arab Emirates (Baniyas), Iraq (Al Karkh and Al Naft) and Libya (Al Ittihad). He won Iraqi League championship title in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Young graduated from West Virginia University Institute of Technology in 2011 and it is his twelfth (!!!) season as a professional player.
He could be described: Ricky Young is the only player from USA, that is born 1990, and have 2 years experience in European league, outstanding jumping abilities, and athleticism, very fast, run floor good, good rebounder, blocker, can shoot from outside, team player, very coachable, definitely NBA potential..
