Aleksandar Mitrovic

Al Qurrain (D1) signed 32-year-old Serbian forward Aleksandar Mitrovic (203cm-1990) for the upcoming 2022-23 season. Mitrovic played most recently at Taoyuan Leopards in the Taiwanese T1 League. In 6 games he had very impressive stats: 17.5ppg, 5.7rpg, and 2.0apg last season.

Part of the previous (2020-21) season he spent at Al-Muharraq where in 5 Bahrain games he recorded also remarkable stats: 15.8ppg, 7.2rpg, and 1.2apg in that year. He also spent pre-season at Borac in Bosnia and Mitrovicrzegovina league. In three ABA League games, he averaged 6.7ppg and 1.3rpg in that year.

He was a member of the Serbian U20 National Team back in 2010.

Mitrovic is quite an experienced player. He has played also professionally in Bulgaria (Akademik Plovdiv), Georgia (Dinamo), Greece (Peristeri), Iraq (Al-Khtot), Montenegro (Buducnost), Qatar (Al Ahli), Saudi Arabia (Abha), Slovenia (Zlatorog), Sweden (SBBK), Serbia (KK Partizan NiS Beograd, KK Metalac Farmakom Valjevo, KK Mladost MaxBet Zemun, Vrsac and BC Mega Mozzart Beograd), North Macedonia (Rabotnicki) and Bahrain (Al-Ittihad). Mitrovic was also voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Bahrain League Honorable Mention in 2021.

He won the Georgian League championship title in 2018.
