Al Jahraa (D1) inked 27-year old Lebanese international 194cm guard Wael Arakji for upcoming season. It is actually his comeback to Al Jahraa as he has played here before. Arakji played most recently at Beirut Club in Lebanese LBL league. In 15 games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.3ppg, 3.5rpg and 4.1apg last season. He also played for Jahraa that season. Arakji also spent pre-season at Al Shamal in Qatari league.
He has been also a member of Lebanese international program for some years. Arakji has regularly played for Lebanese senior team since 2020 and previously for U18 National Team in 2012.
He represented Lebanon at the FIBA Asia Cup in Lebanon five years ago. His team won Gold and his stats at that event were 5 games: 16.4ppg, 4.4rpg, 3.8apg, 2.0spg, FGP: 62.8%, 3PT: 42.9%, FT: 55.6%.
Arakji is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different countries on three different continents (Asia, Africa and of course North America). Arakji has played previously professionally in China (Royal Fighters), Tunisia (US Monastir) and NBA Summer League (Dallas Mavericks).
