Salah Mejri

Al Jahraa (D1) added to their roster experienced 36-year old Tunisian international center Salah Mejri (217cm-107kg-1986) for new 2022-2023 season.

It is actually his comeback to Al Jahraa as he has played here before. Mejri played last season at Beirut Club in Lebanese LBL league. In 8 games he had 11.9ppg, 11.1rpg, 1.6apg, 1.3spg and 2.4bpg.

He also played for Jahraa that season. Mejri helped them to make it to the semifinals.

He also represented Tunisia at the Afrobasket Championship in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) nine years ago. His stats at that event were 4 games: 11.8ppg, Reb-4 (8.8rpg), 1.8apg, 1.0spg, Blocks-3 (2.0bpg), FGP: 56.3%, 3PT: 25.0%, FT: 57.1%.

Mejri is quite experienced player. Mejri's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in six different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America.

Mejri has played previously professionally in Belgium (Antwerp Giants), China (Flying Leopards and Royal Fighters), Spain (Real Madrid and Obradoiro), NBA (Dallas Mavericks), Tunisia (ES Sahel) and NBA G League (Texas Legends).
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Jahraa.

On Mejri: A lanky center who fights hard in the middle and has great timing for rebounds and shot blocking.
