Shane Rector

Al Jahraa (D1) signed 27-year old American guard Shane Rector (188cm-82kg-94, college: Utah State). Rector started the season at Ohod in Saudi Arabian SBL league. In 19 games he had very impressive stats: 30.4ppg, 7.2rpg, 3.0apg and 2.4spg. He was also named League Player of the Week (2 times).
Rector is quite experienced player. He has played in four different countries on three different continents (Asia, Africa and of course North America). Rector has played previously professionally in Qatar (Al Gharafa), Tunisia (US Monastir), United Arab Emirates (Al Wasl, Al Sharjah and Al Bataeh) and Canada (Patroons).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he played in the final of UAE League in 2020. He was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-FIBA Asia Champions Cup GBA Qualifiers 2nd Team back in 2019.
Rector attended Utah State until 2017 and it is his fifth season as a professional player.
