D1 Round 14: Burgan is defeated by Kuwait in a derby game- January 27, 2022
The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 3 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Kuwait - Burgan 110-81 The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kuwait City: Kuwait (#2) and Burgan (#5). Kuwait (6-1) smashed visiting Burgan (1-6) by 29 points 110-81. Defending champion maintains second position with 6-1 record behind leader Kazma. Burgan lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Qurrain. Kuwait will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Burgan's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kuwait City to the arena Qadsia. Qadsia - Kazma 79-103 Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Kuwait City: Kazma (#1) and Qadsia (#4). Qadsia was smashed at home by 24 points 79-103 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Kazma (7-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row. Qadsia at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Kazma's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kuwait City to the arena Qurrain. Jahraa - Qurrain 89-80 Rather expected game in Al Jahraa where 6th ranked Qurrain (1-6) was defeated by third ranked Jahraa (4-3) 89-80. Jahraa maintains third position with 4-3 record having just three points less than leader Kazma. Qurrain at the other side stay at the bottom place with six games lost. They share the position with Burgan. Jahraa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Qurrain's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kuwait City Kazma. |
