Walter Hodge

Defending champion Al Kuwait SC (D1) agreed terms with experienced 35-year old Virgin Islander-U.S. Virgin Islands international point guard Walter Hodge (183cm-86, college: Florida). Hodge is the second import player in the roster as Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Kikanovic signed here earlier.
He is a dual citizen owning also Puerto Rican passport. He played last summer at Capitanes de Arecibo in Puerto Rican BSN league. In 47 games he had very impressive stats: 19.7ppg, 2.9rpg and 6.3apg. Hodge helped them to win the league title. Great season as he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Finals MVP, named to 2nd Team and League Player of the Week.
He also represented U.S. Virgin Islands at the Panamerican Games in Lima (Peru) -1997 years ago. His stats at that event were 4 games: Score-1 (22.0ppg), 3.5rpg, Assists-4 (3.0apg), 1.3spg, FGP: 46.2%, 3PT-1 (66.7%), FT: 91.7%.
Hodge is quite experienced player. Hodge's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in ten different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America. Hodge has played previously professionally in France (ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket), Italy, Lebanon (Sagesse and Homentmen), Poland (Enea Zastal), Russia (Zenit), Saudi Arabia (Al Wehda), Spain (Baskonia), Tunisia (US Monastir), Egypt (Al Zamalek and Al Ahly) and The Basketball Tournament (War Tampa). he was selected Afrobasket.com All-Egyptian Superleague Player of the Year in 2021.
He attended University of Florida until 2009 and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season as a professional player.
