D1 Round 31: Al Arabi defeats Al Jahraa in the closest game of the week - Mar 22, 2016

The most exciting game of round 31 in the D1 took place in Kuwait City. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Al Jahraa (14-10) to fourth ranked Al Arabi (15-9) 79-77 in the game for the fourth place. Al Arabi maintains fourth place with 15-9 record. Al Jahraa at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Al Arabi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kuwait City to the arena Al Qadsia.
D1 top team - Al Kuwait (21-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Al Shabab (6-18) in Al Ahmadi 78-48. Al Kuwait have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 21-1 record. Al Shabab lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 18 games lost. Al Kuwait will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al Shabab will play at home against Al Sulaibikhat (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 31 Al Nasar lost to Kazma on the opponent's court 62-73. Al Sahel managed to outperform Al Tadhamon in a home game 48-38.

Kazma - Al Nasar 73-62

Rather expected game in Kuwait City where 6th ranked Al Nasar (11-12) was defeated by third ranked Kazma (19-4) 73-62. Kazma have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 19-4 record having just one point less than leader Al Kuwait. Al Nasar at the other side keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Kazma's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kuwait City to the arena .

Al Sahel - Al Tadhamon 48-38

Rather predictable result in Abu Halifa where seventh ranked Al Sahel (11-14) defeated 10th ranked Al Tadhamon (2-21) 48-38. Al Sahel maintains seventh place with 11-14 record. Al Tadhamon lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 21 games lost. Al Sahel will play against higher ranked Al Nasar (#6) in An Nasr in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Al Tadhamon will play on the road against Al Yarmook (#8) in Yarmouk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
