D1 Round 9: Al Tadhamon wins their first game - Jan 2, 2016

Al Tadhamon can celebrate finally their first win this season after seven consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Al Sulaibikhat (0-7) 68-61 on Sunday. Al Tadhamon (1-7) left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with Al Shabab. It was Al Sulaibikhat's sixth loss in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost.
Undefeated leader Al Kuwait delivered the seventh consecutive victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Al Nasar (4-4) 75-57 in An Nasr. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Nasar. Undefeated Al Kuwait (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row, which they share with Kazma. Al Nasar at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Al Sahel. Al Kuwait's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kuwait City Kazma.
Bottom-ranked Al Sulaibikhat (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 83-37 loss to sixth ranked Al Jahraa (4-3) in Al Jahraa on Wednesday evening. Al Jahraa moved-up to fifth place. Al Sulaibikhat lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost.

Other games of round 9 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Al Shabab was defeated by Al Sahel in Abu Halifa 87-79. Kazma beat Al Shabab at home 92-83. Al Yarmook lost to undefeated Al Qadsia on the opponent's court 63-75. Al Nasar managed to outperform Al Tadhamon in a home game 65-58.

There was no surprise in Abu Halifa where 9th ranked Al Shabab (1-7) was defeated by seventh ranked Al Sahel (4-4) 87-79 on Sunday. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Al Sahel. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Al Nasar. Loser Al Shabab keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with Al Tadhamon.

Kazma - Al Shabab 92-83

No shocking result in a game in Kuwait City where leader Kazma (7-0) defeated 9th ranked Al Shabab (1-7) 92-83 on Wednesday. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Kazma. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Kuwait. Loser Al Shabab keeps the ninth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Al Tadhamon. Kazma's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kuwait City to the arena Al Kuwait.

Al Qadsia - Al Yarmook 75-63

Very expected game in Kuwait City where 8th ranked Al Yarmook (2-5) was defeated by leader Al Qadsia (5-0) 75-63 on Wednesday. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Al Qadsia. They moved-up to third place. Al Yarmook lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with five games lost.

Very predictable result in An Nasr where fifth ranked Al Nasar (4-4) beat 11th ranked Al Tadhamon (1-7) 65-58 on Wednesday. Despite that victory Al Nasar went down to sixth position due to points difference, which they share with Al Sahel. Al Tadhamon lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Al Shabab.
