Kuwait topple Oman for the first win in Doha

Kuwait finished their GCC Championship campaign on a high note. They held off Oman to earn the first win at the tournament. Kuwait finished at 1-3 record in the fourth position, while Oman stayed winless at 0-4.
Kuwait led from the start in this one. They posted a 15:4 lead after ten minutes. Oman came up with arguably their best quarter then outscoring Kuwait and narrowing the deficit at 9 points 14:23. But Kuwait quickly regained control as they built a 37:20 lead with one quarter to go. Oman scored only 4 points in the final stanza as Kuwait rallied to the victory at the end. Mariam Ali nailed 10 points for Kuwait. Esha Adnan and Hanan Mohd had 8 points apiece in the victory. Hiba Saeed answered with 13 points for Oman. Gohaina Ali accounted for 4 points in the losing effort.
