AlKuwait SC triumphs at 2012/2013 season - Apr 4, 2013

The Regular Season in D1 just ended.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kuwait City: Al Kuwait (#1) and Al Qadsia (#2). Al Kuwait (29-3) won against visiting Al Qadsia (26-6) 90-83. Al Kuwait have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 29-3 record. Al Qadsia at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost. They share the position with Kazma.
Bottom-ranked Al Shabab managed to get a third victory. This time they won against tenth-ranked Al Tadhamon in Al Farwaniya 79-68. Al Shabab maintains twelfth position with 3-29 record. Al Tadhamon at the other side keeps the tenth place with 27 games lost.
The game in Sulaibikhat was also quite interesting. Seventh ranked Al Yarmook (16-17) played at the court of 8th ranked Al Sulaibikhat (11-21). Al Yarmook defeated Al Sulaibikhat 99-87 on Wednesday. Al Yarmook maintains seventh position with 16-17 record. Al Sulaibikhat lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 21 games lost.

Al Kuwait SC wins Kuwait Federation Cup. The team added another title of the season with an 84:65 win against Kazma. Desmond Penigar (201-F-81, college: Utah St.) erupted with 32 points in a win.
Earlier AlKuwait SC triumphed at 2012/2013 season. Kuwait beat defending champions Al Qadsia 90:83 in Round 49 action.
