26-year old American guard TK Smith (196-G-1998, agency: MSG) had an amazing evening in the last round for Aktobe and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had the game-high 36 points adding eight rebounds and five assists for Aktobe in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Irbis (1-1) 81-78. Aktobe was forced-out from the top positions in Kazakhstan league. Aktobe is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Smith had a remarkable 53.8% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Aktobe's top player in his first season with the team. Prairie View A&M University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Smith is league's best scorer averaging so far 27.5ppg. Smith is in league's top in assists (8th best: 4.0apg) and averages solid 2.5spg and 46.2% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Anton Bykov (200-F-1989) of MBK Tobol Kostanay. He is international forward in his 10th season at Tobol. In the last game Bykov recorded an impressive double-double of 23 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Tobol lost that game 74-83 to Caspiy Aktau (2-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Bykov is one of the most experienced players at Tobol and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.0ppg (#5). He also registered 13.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward LaDarius Marshall (201-F/C-1999) of league's second-best BK Caspiy Aktau. Marshall showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Caspiy Aktau, leading his team to a 83-74 win against Tobol (#8, 0-2). Caspiy Aktau has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Marshall also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Marshall has a great season in Kazakhstan.
