They stormed past Turan to complete the sweep of the championship series. The game without a history. Kaspiy Aktau led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Turan to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Kaspiy Aktau held Turan to an opponent 19.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 46.2 percent accuracy of the winners. Kaspiy Aktau forced 24 Turan turnovers and outrebounded them 49-38 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Turan's players. It was a great evening for Armenian guard Inga Manucharyan (178-0) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Alexandra Petelina (168-98) helped adding 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was power forward Tamila Zhakipova (182-0) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Altynshash Zinabdin (165-99) scored 10 points. The game was mostly controlled by Astana Tigers. Kazygurt managed to win fourth quarter 21-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kazygurt to just 2 points in second quarter and to 12 points in first half. Astana Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Kazygurt's 28. Astana Tigers forced 28 Kazygurt turnovers. It was a great evening for swingman Daria Koroleva (180-88) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points and 6 assists. The former international center Anna Vinokurova (192-92) helped adding 8 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Astana Tigers' coach Alexey Borodin felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Yrysty Kassymova (172-0) with 15 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and point guard Ekaterina Ganay (169-1) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. They beat Irtysh in the Final game in Schuchinsk tonight. Anastasiya Ilyasova (184-C-98) posted 20 points to lead the winners. Kaspiy unloaded 29 points in the first period to take an 8-point lead. Irtysh however improved defensively in the second quarter. They held their opponents to just 12 points to narrow the gap at one point 40-41. Irtysh denied the deficit in the third term tying things up at 56 at the final break. Kaspiy however sank 27 points in the fourth period and ran away with the trophy at the end. Valeriya Sokolova (164-PG-99) had 19 points for the winners. Yekaterina Beschastnova (173-G-03) netted 18 points for Irtysh. Turan earned the third position as they nipped Astana Tigers 78-72 in the consolation final.
