Astana Take Kazakhstan Gold
Tigers from Astana won Kazakhstan basketball Gold for the second straight season, reports “Nash Sport” web site.
The Tigers were down 2:0 in the best-of-three series, however they managed an impressive comeback, winning three games in a row.
They even took game 5 of the series against Kostanai Tobol (second place) despite the injury of one of their leaders Yevgeniy Isakov. He suffered a broken right thumb, which, however, did not force him out of the game.
Isakov is expected to recover in three weeks.
Kapshagai TCM won this year’s bronze medals.
