Jordan Basketball Federation Issues Disciplinary Sanctions Following Faisaly–Ittihad Finals Incident- April 29, 2026

Amman, April 29 — The Jordan Basketball Federation’s Disciplinary and Conduct Committee has issued a series of sanctions against players and officials from Al-Faisaly and Al-Ittihad Amman, following the incidents that disrupted Game 2 of the CFI Jordan Premier League Finals. The committee based its decisions on official reports from match officials, referees, observers, media reports, club statements, and reviewed video footage. The committee unanimously ruled that the conduct witnessed during the match constituted a serious breach of sporting discipline, negatively impacting the image of basketball and violating the principles of fair competition. It stressed that the incidents caused significant damage to the reputation of the sport and cannot be tolerated under any circumstances.
