Amman — Al-Faisaly made a commanding start to the Jordan Basketball League finals, defeating defending champions Amman United 105–70 on Friday evening at Prince Hamzah Hall in Al-Hussein Youth City, in Game 1 of the best-of-five series.

Al-Faisaly dominated proceedings from the outset, taking a 55–31 lead at halftime, and continued their strong performance in front of a large home crowd to secure a convincing victory.

Several Al-Faisaly players delivered standout performances, showcasing a well-rounded team display against last season’s title holders. On the opposing side, Al-Ittihad Amman’s Vante Hendrix led all scorers with 24 points.

The two sides will meet again on Monday at 7:00 PM at the same venue, with the championship to be decided in a best-of-five series, where the first team to secure three wins will be crowned champions.

Al-Faisaly’s emphatic opening win puts them firmly in control as they look to capitalize on their early advantage in the title race.
