Jordanian Premier League round 12 best performance: Jace Hogan

American Forward Jace Hogan (198-F-1996) put on an amazing game in the last round for Al Jalil Irbid, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 29-year old player had a double-double of 40 points and 17 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to Al Wehdat (#3, 7-6) 74-95. Al Jalil is placed at 6th position in Jordanian Premier League. Al Jalil is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 9th lost game this season out of 13 games. In the team's last game Hogan had a remarkable 63.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al Jalil's top player in his first season with the team. Former Jacksonville University star has very solid stats this year. Hogan is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.5ppg. Hogan is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 14.2rpg), assists (9th best: 5.0apg) and averages impressive 2.3spg and 53.2% FGP. Worth to mention Hogan played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was young American BJ Freeman (198-G/F-2002, agency: The Crew A.M.) of Al Inglizia Sports Club. Freeman had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Al Iglizia to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Shabab Bushra (#8, 2-11) 97-66. Al Iglizia's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-8 record. Freeman is one of the most experienced players at Al Iglizia and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was international Akef Al Shiyab of Al Wehdat Amman (#3). Al Shiyab got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds and four assists. He was a key player of Al Wehdat, leading his team to a 95-84 win against the lower-ranked Al Ashrafiyah (#7, 3-10). Al Wehdat needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 6 lost games. Al Shiyab has a very solid season. In 12 games in Jordan he scored 14.5ppg.
