Premier League round 6 most important game was a victory of Al Wehdat over 5th ranked Al Iglizia 70-66 on Monday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Iglizia. Second ranked Amman United had an easy win 80-58. scored 15 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Ahmad Alhamarsheh chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was British forward Joshua Apple (201-1998, college: ECU) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Amman United maintains second position with 5-1 record behind leader Al Faisaly. Al Jubaiha lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Al Wehdat. Amman United will play against bottom-ranked Shabab Bushra (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Al Jubaiha will play against Al Ashrafiyah (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Brian Halums notched 36 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort. Even 24 points and 5 rebounds by Israel Lockamy did not help to save the game for Shabab Bushra. Shabab Bushra's coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Undefeated Al Faisaly have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Shabab Bushra lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with five games lost. Al Faisaly will meet at home Al Wehdat (#4) in the next round. Shabab Bushra will play against the league's second-placed Amman United (#2) and hope to win that game.

In the last game of round 6 Al Jalil was smashed by Al Ashrafiyah on the road 76-54.



Al Ashrafiyah - Al Jalil 76-54

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh ranked Al Ashrafiyah (2-4) crushed at home 6th ranked Al Jalil (2-4) 76-54 on Monday. Al Ashrafiyah outrebounded Al Jalil 56-30 including a 23-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Eric Kibi notched a double-double by scoring 20 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Julian Shataeet supported him with 30 points. Even a double-double of 29 points and 13 rebounds by American forward Jace Hogan (198-1996, college: Jacksonville) did not help to save the game for Al Jalil. Ahmad Barbari added 15 points and 4 assists. Al Ashrafiyah moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Al Jalil and Al Iglizia. Al Ashrafiyah will meet higher ranked Al Jubaiha (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Al Jalil will play against Al Iglizia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
