Xiamen sign Aisha Sheppard

Aisha Sheppard

Xiamen Egrets (WCBA) signed 27-year-old Jordanian-American ex-international guard Aisha Sheppard (Virginia Tech) for the upcoming season. She will join fellow American player Shelby Cheslek on the team. She most recently played for Gigantes de Carolina in the Puerto Rican BSNF, where she averaged 19.0ppg, 4.1rpg, 3.0apg, and 2.6spg in 21 games last season. She was voted to the Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican League Honorable Mention team, marking a successful year in her career. Prior to that, she played for Magic Deer and CBK Mersin in the Turkish league.
Three years ago, she was drafted by the Las Vegas Aces (WNBA) in the second round (23rd overall).
Sheppard graduated from Virginia Tech University in 2022, and it'll be her fourth season in pro basketball.

Sheppard is a very experienced player. She has quite traveled the world as her pro career brought her to five different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Sheppard has played professionally in Mexico (Adelitas), Poland (Poznan), Puerto Rico, Spain (Tenerife) and Turkey (Antalya and Tarsus). She played in the final of Turkish League in 2025.
