Al Ahli tabs Ryle Owens, ex Posusje

Ryle Owens

Al Ahli Amman (Premier League) inked 27-year old American 192cm guard Ryle Owens (college: Young Harris). He played recently at KK Posusje in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. In four games he averaged 15.0ppg, 3.0rpg and 3.3apg this season. He also played for Al Karkh (Superleague) in Iraqi league.
Owens is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eight different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Owens has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Al-Ittihad), Bulgaria (CSKA Sofia), Cyprus (APOEL Nicosia), Georgia (Tbilisi State University), Iraq, Qatar (Al Sadd) and Saudi Arabia (Ohod).
Among many awards his college team made it to the Qatari Emir Cup final in 2024. He was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 Honorable Mention in 2024.
Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him to get the job in pro basketball.
Owens graduated from Young Harris College in 2020 and it is his fifth season in pro basketball. He played also for University of South Carolina Salkehatchie for 2 years.
