Orthodox signs Troy Baxter Jr.

Troy Baxter

Orthodox Amman (Premier League) tabbed 28-year old American 206cm power forward Troy Baxter Jr. (college: Morgan State). He joins another USA player Gregoryshon Magee who is already in the roster.
He played most recently at Calgary Surge in Canadian CEBL. In two games he averaged just 2.5ppg and 1.5rpg last season. The last seasonhe played for different teams. He ended the season at Knicks in NBA G League.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in ten different countries playing on five different continents. Baxter is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, Australian and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Canada, Dominican Republic (Indios), Lebanon (Antranik), New Zealand (Jets and Rams), Paraguay (San Jose), Uruguay (Trouville), Bulgaria (CSKA Sofia), NBA G League (OKC Blue, Indiana Mad Ants, Grand Rapids Gold, Windy City Bulls and Wisconsin Baxterrd), The Basketball Tournament (GCG) and Mongolia (Khatsaga).
Among many awards he won New Zealand NBL championship title in 2023. He was voted to MEAC All-Defensive Team back in 2021 at his college time.
Baxter graduated from Morgan State in 2021 and it will be his fourth season in pro basketball. He played for other colleges like: Florida Gulf Coast University, University of Nevada - Las Vegas.
