Kanaan comes back to Orthodox

Malek Kanaan

Orthodox Amman (Premier League) added to their roster 31-year old international guard Malek Kanaan (182cm-81kg-1993, college: W.Valley JC) for season 2024-25. It is actually his comeback to Amman as he has played here before. He played last season at Philadelphia in the League of Talents. In 26 Premier League games just recently he recorded 14.2ppg, 5.2rpg, 6.3apg (top 2) and 1.8spg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Quite impressive season as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Jordanian League of Talents Honorable Mention.
Kanaan has been also a member of the Jordanian international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Jordanian senior team since 2016 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2010.
Kanaan also represented Jordan at the Asian Games in Huangzhou (China) last year. Kanaan's team won Silver and he had over 1 points per game.
He has played previously for three other teams: Al Ahli, Al Riyadi and Al Jubaiha.
His college team made it to the Jordanian Cup final in 2023.
Kanaan graduated from West Valley College in 2014 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player.
