Jordanian Premier League round 16 best performance: Ashraf Alhendi (by Hoops Agents)

International Guard Ashraf Alhendi (190-G-1995) had an amazing evening in the last round for Rum, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (22 points, eight rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Arabella (#6, 5-10) 91-81. Rum maintains the 3rd position in Jordanian Premier League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Rum will need more victories to improve their 10-5 record. In the team's last game Alhendi had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Rum, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ashraf Alhendi averages this season 15.7ppg and 5.7rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Emmanuel Egbuta (201-F-1996) of Arabella. Egbuta had a very good evening with 37 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Arabella lost that game 81-91 to the higher-ranked Rum (#3, 10-5). Arabella is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-10 record. Egbuta is one of the most experienced players at Arabella and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.2ppg (#7). He also registered 11.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Zane Najdawi (201-F-1996) of league's second-best Philadelphia. Najdawi showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Najdawi's great performance the Philadelphia lost 73-75 to #4 ranked Petra. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Najdawi has a great season in Jordan. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.1ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 9.8rpg (6th best). Zane Najdawi has also Jordanian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
