Poznan tabs Aisha Sheppard

Aisha Sheppard

Enea AZS Politechnika Poznan (OBLK) has signed Aisha Sheppard, a 25-year-old American (who also holds a Jordanian passport) guard standing at 175cm. She previously played for Antalya 07 Basketbol in the Turkish KBSL, where she averaged 14.7ppg, 3.0rpg, 2.7apg, and 2.1spg in 14 games. She also had impressive stats in 5 Eurocup games, with 20.0ppg, 3.6rpg, 3.8apg, and 1.8spg. In the previous season, she played for Tenerife (LF Endesa) in the Spanish league.
Last year, she was drafted by the Las Vegas Aces (WNBA) in the second round, 23rd overall.
She graduated from Virginia Tech University in 2022, and this is her second season in professional basketball.
She also represented Jordan at the FIBA Asia Cup for Women Division B in Bangkok, Thailand this year. Her team reached the Semifinals and her statistics for that event were as follows: 4 games played, scoring an average of 26.8 points per game, 4.5 rpg, 5.8 apg, 3.3 spg, shooting 46.7% from the field goal range (FGP), 50.0% from the three-point range (3PT), and 72.5% from the free-throw line (FT).
She won the WNBA championship title in 2022.
