AMMAN — The national men's basketball team notched their second victory on Thursday, defeating Bahrain 84-60 in the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China. They began their Asian Games campaign with a convincing 97-63 win against Thailand.

Following their triumph over Bahrain, the national team strengthened their position at the top of Group 3 with 4 points, derived from two wins. They are set to conclude their group stage matches with a pivotal showdown against the Philippines on Saturday. The outcome of this game will directly determine their qualification for the quarter-finals, while the losing team will compete in a playoff match for a quarter-final spot, Al Mamlaka TV reported.
