Best players of Jordanian Premier League round 8 (Second Stage)

International Center Yousef Abuwazaneh (201-C-1993) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Al Riyadi and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8 (Second Stage).
The 29-year old center had a double-double of 19 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team edged out Al Ahli (5-4) 93-91. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Abuwazaneh has impressive league stats. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Zane Najdawi (201-F-1996) of second-ranked Al Ahli. Najdawi impressed basketball fans with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Al Ahli was edged by Al Riyadi (5-4) 93-91. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Al Ahli still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 5-4 record is not bad at all. Najdawi is a newcomer at Al Ahli and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.5ppg (#7). His other stats are also decent: 9.5rpg and 3.5apg.

The third best performed player last round was another Al Ahli's star - American Gerard Tarin (206-F-1996). Tarin showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. He was another key player of Al Ahli, helping his team with a 90-74 easy win against #1 ranked Orthodox. Al Ahli needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 4 lost games. Tarin has a great season in Jordan. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.3ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 11.7rpg (#1 in league). Tarin attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
