The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Amman: Orthodox (#1) and Al Ahli (#2). Orthodox (6-0) smashed visiting Al Ahli (3-3) by 21 points 95-74. Orthodox looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Darrin Dorsey (188-1987, college: DWU, agency: Diamond Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists. The former international center Mohammad Hussein (210-1990) contributed with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Orthodox's coach Harry Savaya felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Amin Abuhawwas (190-1994, college: Mars Hill) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for Al Ahli. Undefeated Orthodox have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Defending champion Al Ahli keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Al Riyadi.
An interesting game for Al Riyadi (3-3) which played road game in Al Jubaiha against 4th ranked Al Jubaiha (0-6). Third ranked Al Riyadi had an easy win 87-67. The former international forward Ahmad Obeid (197-1990) scored 23 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Malek Kanaan chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Guyanese-American forward Kevin Mickle (201-1993, college: Ohio) with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Al Riyadi moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Ahli. Al Jubaiha at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost.



Al Jubaiha - Al Riyadi 67-87

An interesting game for Al Riyadi (3-3) which played road game in Al Jubaiha against 4th ranked Al Jubaiha (0-6). Third ranked Al Riyadi had an easy win 87-67. Al Riyadi players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Al Jubaiha's players.
