The 26-year old forward had the game-high 34 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Al Ahli in his team's victory, helping them to crush, Second Stage bottom-ranked team Al Jubaiha (#4, 0-5) with 17-point margin 96-79. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Al Ahli maintains the 2nd position in Jordanian Premier League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this stage. Al Ahli will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Tarin had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al Ahli's top player in his first season with the team. Nova Southeastern University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Tarin is in league's top in points (4th best: 23.3ppg) and averages solid 60.6% FGP. Worth to mention Tarin played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American swingman Brandon Spearman (191-G/F-1991) of Al Riyadi. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-3 record. Spearman is a newcomer at Al Riyadi and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.4ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 4.6rpg and 3.2apg. University of Hawaii alumni Spearman played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. The third best performed player last round was Canadian guard Freddy Ibrahim (190-G-1996) of top-ranked Orthodox. Ibrahim got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds and seven assists. He was a key player of Orthodox, leading his team to a 117-87 easy win against #3 ranked Al Riyadi. Orthodox started extremely well this Second Stage. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game. Ibrahim turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Ibrahim has a great season in Jordan. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.3ppg (6th best) and assists with 9.9apg (best passer). Freddy Ibrahim has also Jordanian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player. Other top performing players last week: 4.
