Al Riyadi - Al Ahli 92-90 The most exciting game of round 4 in the Premier League took place in Amman. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent Al Ahli (2-2) to third ranked Al Riyadi (2-2) 92-90 in the game for the second place. Al Riyadi looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Ahmad Obeid (197-1990) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Malek Kanaan (182-1993, college: W.Valley JC) who added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Gerard Tarin (206-1996, college: Nova SE) responded with 29 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Amin Abuhawwas (190-1994, college: Mars Hill) scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Al Riyadi moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Al Ahli. Orthodox dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Al Jubaiha's 40. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. The winners were led by American point guard Darrin Dorsey (188-1987, college: DWU, agency: Diamond Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and the former international guard Freddy Ibrahim (190-1996, college: Tampa) supported him with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Even a double-double of 16 points and 19 rebounds by Guyanese-American forward Kevin Mickle (201-1993, college: Ohio) did not help to save the game for Al Jubaiha. Ahmad Hammourri added 27 points for lost side. Four Al Jubaiha players scored in double figures. Al Jubaiha's coach Yousef Abu Baker gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Orthodox have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Al Jubaiha at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost.
