Bzai's 37-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award- January 18, 2023
He had the game-high 37 points adding nine rebounds for Al Ahli in his team's victory, helping them to beat Al Ashrafiyah (#6, 0-7), the league's bottom-ranked team 93-79. Al Ahli maintains the 2nd position in Jordanian league. They are still close to the very top. Al Ahli would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 6-1 record. In the team's last game Bzai had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 16 attempts. He turned to be Al Ahli's top player in his first season with the team. Southeastern Oklahoma State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bzai is in league's top in points (5th best: 19.4ppg) and averages solid 2.6spg and 53.6% FGP. Worth to mention Bzai played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Second best performed player last round was Kevin Mickle (201-F-1993) of Al Jubaiha. He is Guyanese-American forward in his first season at Al Jubaiha. In the last game Mickle recorded impressive double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Al Jubaiha to another comfortable win 80-64 over slightly lower-ranked Kofer Yoba (#5, 2-5) being unquestionably team leader. Al Jubaiha's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Mickle is a newcomer at Al Jubaiha and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#6). He also registered 12.6 boards per game. Third place about best performers goes to another Al Ahli's star - forward Zane Najdawi (201-F-1996). Najdawi scored 23 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Al Ahli, helping his team with a 93-79 easy win against Al Ashrafiyah (#6, 0-7). Al Ahli is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 6-1 record is not that bad... Najdawi has a great season in Jordan. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.9ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 9.9rpg (7th best). He also has 1.4bpg and FGP: 60.0%.
