Sami Bzai (ex Al Ansar) agreed terms with Al Ahli

Defending champion Al-Ahli-Amman (Premier League) inked 28-year old Jordanian international 190cm guard Sami Bzai (college: SE Oklahoma) for upcoming season. Bzai played most recently at Al Ansar in Saudi Arabian SBL league. In 10 games he recorded very impressive stats: 17.8ppg, 5.5rpg, 3.6apg and 1.6spg last season. He also played for Al Shamal in Qatari where in two games he averaged remarkable 19.5ppg, 7.0rpg, 4.0apg and 1.0spg.
Bzai also represented Jordan at the FIBA Asia Cup in Jakarta (Indonesia) this year. Bzai's team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 7 games: 4.6ppg.
He has played previously professionally in Iraq (Nift Al-Shamal) and Jordan (Al Wihdat and Al Jubaiha).
Among many awards his team made it to the Jordanian League Semifinals in 2021. Bzai received Asia-Basket.com All-Jordanian Premier League Player of the Year award in 2021.
Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him to get the job in pro basketball.
He graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2018 and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball.
